My mind awhirl
With thoughts
Elucidating the whorl
God sought
His perspective
Desired
Being perceptive
Transpired
As I rested
In solitude
It cultivated zest
Reshaping my attitude
To gratitude
The burden not mine
To contend
Not to resign
But to transcend
The delights
Of relationship
As my life He rewrites
Redeeming it to equip
For transfiguring
Fellowship
Configuring
His Ownership
Be still and know that I am God
Be still
Your ways are higher than man’s
We grapple to understand
When our hearts learn to be still
We elect to abide in your will
So we will not quake
At the coming wake
We would hear
Your whisper
Know that I am God
To comprehend
Your power transcends
And Trust the pathway You have forged
Before time, growing us mature
Your exhaustive knowledge
We are sure to acknowledge
As we reflect on our path
A quest we could not surpass
