Loving thru Life’s Difficulties

Fog rolling on the surface
Do I remember his voice?
Straining to hear
My heart aching for his presence
Tears come
A gift from heaven
Like refreshing rain
Flowering emotions
My earthly father
Was given to me
By my Father in heaven
Just  a short time ago
Sitting at the water’s edge
My father was strong
Facing life’s challenges
Then gone with a gust of wind
God gave me my father
To mold me as He wanted
Strengths and weaknesses
All used for His plan
Uniquely shaped
To share Him in His plan
All for His Glory
Not mine
Praising God for who I am
Changed the moment I gained relationship with Him
Thankful for my earthly father
Loving thru life’s difficulties
Grateful for my Heavenly Father
The God all Knowing and all Powerful
Orchestrating my life
So beautiful!
A daughter grateful
For this life
Praising the Great I AM

Melting Tension

Hearts frozen as ice
What will it take
To melt the hard exterior
Built in time
Preserving movement
Underneath
Keeping wounds from gaping open
Writhing in pain
Rays appear out of no where
Glistening on the surface
Warming the crystals
Embedded in space
Receiving the Light
Bringing new Life
Time will tell
Their acceptance
Melting tension
Currents begin
Digging up the past
Greeting emotions untold
Healing places unfold
As He brings Life
Accepting who we are
Loving us unconditionally
Just as we are
A gift amazing

Sitting at Your feet

Aromatic sweetness
Filling the room
Slowing down
Moving my focus

Permeating my tension
Meditating on Your Word
Removing the world
Your character above all else
Traits incomprehensibly complete
Your Wonder beyond my understanding
Knowledge Divine
Existence before the beginning of time
In Awe

Shrouded Colored Lenses

Light shines from above
Illuminating the dinginess within
Shrouded with colored lenses
My perspective tainted
Preserving for years
Fragile is my heart
Taking heed of His revealing
Accepting His strength
Adjusting my mind
Aligning with Him
Encompassing His Love
Coming into focus
His purpose for me
Assisting others to see
His Magnificence in view
Abandoning myself
Fading into the background
His Glory revealed
Great is His Name

Deep longings
Heavenward
Desperate to shed this cloak I am in
My sins hang
As Spanish Moss on trees
Weighing down
Feeling encumbered
Primed for relief
Anticipating that last cleansing
When I become Complete
Standing among His Brilliance
Not experienced in this life
The rays penetrating
His warmth enveloping my being
Deep longings
Heavenward
My soul awaits
His Presence Complete

Sharing Our Lives

My heart’s desire
Is to be close to Christ
But Sometimes it gets pulled
By the flesh
Shifting under the skin
It draws to those desires
That feed myself
Hiding subcutaneously
In my innermost being
Until questions are asked
That bring pondering
Then Light filters in
Looking beyond the cells
To microscopic things
Seeing how my behaviors
Give insight to my heart
Revealing the impurities within
Questions that purify the heart
Come from those we share our lives with
Encouraging us to see from a different perspective
Blindspots revealed
In hindsight they are seen
Thankful for God’s grace
And those we share our lives with
The Body of Christ
This Life with Him
Growing us more Christlike

Invigorating

To engage in life
Invigorating
With a crispness
Of fall mornings
Bringing others
Closer to Christ
The air fresh and clean
A relief to summer heat
My focus though
Is my relationship with Christ
I can manipulate a plan
To chase my desires
Making demands
Leading expectations
Getting caught in snares
Where unmet goals thrive
Bringing back heat and  humidity
Disheartening
He has a better plan
Wait for Him
Allow Him to provide all He has for me
Through the closeness to Him
His plan flourishes
Growing from the depths of relationship with Him
My focus Him
Depending on Christ
Provider in my life
Invigorating
With a crispness

Doubting Heart

My heart is always on the move
Shifting in the shadows untold
Feeling the space
Between me and God
My heart doubting where He is
Causing blindness
Taking me to deep places
He intends for good
Molding my heart
In places only He knows
Building strength that unfolds
Travelling thru distressing situations
Searching for Him in that space
Causing me to look inward
Is there sin?
Did I obey Him?
Where have I moved?
Truth is
He is always there
Feelings vanished
I dig in the Word
I choose to follow His commands
In time His Presence comes
Faith building when unseen
Proving my beliefs
Increasing my faith once more
Depending on Him
Jesus is Lord
Joy overwhelming in my life

Shifting in the Shadows

My desire is to follow Christ
My heart and mind focused on Him
Wanting the joy
Of His way of life
But there are times
My heart gets stuck
The molding from the past
Created feelings so guarded
Keeping me safe
Wanting pain no more
My heart shifting in the shadows
Not trusting anything
I cannot fix this myself
Only with Christ
Lord please rescue me
From my demise
In His time
He will come
In the wait
He is creating
Sanctification
The beauty of Him in me
Dependence divine
One day
I will be in His Presence
Praising Him
In Him I will be Complete

Reflecting inward
Inspecting my soul
Seeing my reflection
Rippling the water
Going deeper
Beyond my facade
I see evidence
Of independence
My image alone
Emulating from within
Loneliness of the soul
Not united to the One
Moving closer
Breaking the cycle
My heart moving
Closer to Him
Tenderness formed
Not me armored
Taking time to process
Oh how I long for His presence
The Magnificence of  the One
Completing my soul
Unity of hearts
The body of Christ
The Holy Spirit
