Silky, savory petals
Like the hand of God,
Delivering peace and lovingkindness
To those who choose to see,
Draping blooms,
Colors extraordinaire,
Like the shawl of His grace,
Covering each blade, unhinged,
Where His compassion, forever fathomless,
Follows us till the end.
When the burgeoning burden
Feels overwhelmingly oppressing,
Stop and take note
Who He is,
His compassion is chivalrous
His sovereignty significant,
His love is luxurious
His goodness generous,
Reframe the burden, breakthrough
By His divine development,
Rest in His consistent care
Abide in His transcendental truth
Clickety clack
The sounds of the track
The rhythm of the cars
One by one
Riding the rails of life
With God
Clinging to His lovingkindness
As each stop
Calls my name
My desire
Choosing to stay on-board
But my weakness overcomes
My breath taken away
Undetected
Learning each city
One by one
Roaming the streets
Yet once again
His compassion so grand
Greater than ever imagined
Calling all aboard
Turning from what
Snatched my heart
Escaping once again
Into the bosom of God
His heartbeat comforting
Reminding me of what’s good
Lord of Wonder
Lord of Awe
Bring my life asunder
From this world I withdraw
God of Compassion
God of Restoration
To You I fasten
Inducing my heart’s reformation
Lord of my life
Lord of Creation
Melting away strife
Nature abounding with Your declaration
I was born with this disposition
A heart filled with flesh
With reason to confess
Causing a need
For a Savior today
To have relationship with Him
My Creator
A heaviness of heart
Knowing I mock God
Taking matters into my own hands
Chasing desires
My heart stubborn to fill
Walking with Him
Unveils the idols
Manifesting my actions
This affliction of disposition
Has purpose
It separates truth
Do I truly love Him?
Will I stand against
The natural
To display my love for Him
If so, I must die to self
To glorify Him
Not loving for what it brings
But loving for who He is
The One Sovereign
Who is Compassion
And always Is
The One called Love
Is Power
And Wisdom
The One called the Great I AM
In the stillness
Of the morning
I contemplate God
Meditating on His
Character traits
Love
Compassionate
Immutable
Sovereign
Powerful
Timeless
Transcendent of everything
With my God as such
Why then
Do I depend
On thyself?
Orchestrating life
Searching for pleasures
For my peace
Today
In this moment
How do I molt
To depend
Solely
On Him?
Understand my failings
Aware of my independence
Bow humbly at His feet
Accept it’s a process
Moving forward
Growing from awareness
Evolving in spirituality
Imbibe Him
Abide in the One
Give yourself to the hungry
Satisfy the desires of the afflicted
Look outside yourself
To gain your purpose
Keeping thoughts focused
On His love
Having compassion for others
Disregarding your own protection
Exposing what is deep down
To comfort those around
The sun will then rise
Giving life out of darkness
Chasing gloom away
Like the sun midday
Believe in Him
For then the rivers of life will flow in abundance
Surging forth from the depths of your being
Seek His glory for He is True
Those who seek their own glory
Speak from themselves not of Truth
Let your heart follow Him
Be in Awe of who He is
Judge with righteousness
Not by appearance
For you do not plumb the hearts of men
Be very careful what your heart chooses to do
Warn those with Truth
Do not be found guilty
For them nor for you
In the day of trouble
He will conceal you in His secret place
Defending your life
So you do not have to
Lifting you upon a rock
Loving others as He does
Do justice, love kindness
Walk humbly before them
Be attentive to His whispers
To walk this way
For you do not know the path of righteousness
Creating a life full of meaning
He longs to be gracious to you
And is forever compassionate
Forgiving your tactics
Of protecting yourself
Although He has given you privation and oppression
Through relationships and others
He will no longer hide Himself
Your eyes will then behold Him
You will no longer walk in the futility of your mind
Darkened in your understanding
Excluded from a life with God
Your heart hardened to Him
For you were bought
And redeemed
By His Majesty
The Glorious Lover of your soul
The Creator of Life Eternal
Have hope without wavering for He who promises is faithful.He is faithful to call you into fellowship with Jesus.He will not allow you to be tempted beyond your abilities.He is faithful to give you a way of escape from temptation.He is faithful who calls you, to complete the work He started in you.The Lord is faithful to strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.When we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive our sins and to cleanse our unrighteousness.He is called faithful And true.He is making all things new, these words are faithful and true.His faithfulness is a shield and a bulwark.The Lord’s loving kindness never fails.His compassions never fail.They are new every morning.Great is His faithfulness.
