Silky, savory petals
Like the hand of God,
Delivering peace and lovingkindness
To those who choose to see,
Draping blooms,
Colors extraordinaire,
Like the shawl of His grace,
Covering each blade, unhinged,
Where His compassion, forever fathomless,
Follows us till the end.
A tree stands puffed up
In the fullness of summer
Only to lose its grandeur in winter
Bear and exposed to the world
But then
The mystery of new life
Begins
As it blooms in the spring
A beautiful display
Of the cycle of life
As I am confident in my ways
He reveals where I stray
He dishevels my thoughts
Waiting on Him
Instead of full of me
Shedding attitudes
Brings life anew
