Hiding

The fear of the Lord

Keeps my heart at bay,

My heart shifty

Desperately hiding its deceit,

To take the risk

To show itself,

Feelings arise

The possibility of rejection,

Feelings of wanting its own way

Over being devout to God,

Even though that devotion

Would benefit me,

My will tho

Stronger than emotion,

To choose to move towards the Lord,

To truly worship Him

To strip away the flesh,

To turn towards His face,

The Light burning

The darkness away

For the moment,

Still beloved by Him

In this scandalous act

Of wavering away,

Of hiding from the truth within,

Beloved by Him,

By His Great Name

These are heavenly days

Not because the sun shines
But because His unconditional love  covers us

Not because of the pleasant breeze
But because His ways are refreshing truth

Not because of the crisp air
But because of His forgiveness that brings relief

Not because of the bird’s songs
But because we worship Him

Not because of what is today
But because He is in the day

Oh these are heavenly days
Captivating our hearts for Him

Subtly
Not aware of
The pivotal point

My mind consumed
With what ifs
What can be
Relationships

My grievance
How unaware
I can be
Of my thoughts

The burden
Heavy laden
Weighting
My soul

Just greet my thoughts
Then give to Him
Trust Him
Caring for my soul

Worship
In mind
In strength
In everything

Coming
Close to Him
My mind filtered
For Him

They stood at attention
As soldiers in formation

Facing the direction
Their sustenance came from

Aware
Of the source
Soaking
In nutrients for life

Posing as if worshiping
Christ

Raising their faces
To the Sun
Depending on the rays
To grow them some

Absorbing truths
Coalescing it
With their uniqueness within

Ultimately displaying
His beauty as His creation

A flower we are
Fragrant
Drawing others
To His beauty
As He builds us
With His declaration

He goes before me
Preparing my journey
He watches behind me
Redeeming my ways
He encamps all around
Delivering faith, He is dependable

The Lord protects
Devouring my enemies
The Lord empowers
Strengthening me to accomplish His plan
The Lord delivers
Fulfilling my number of days

To obey is to gain
His ways are higher
To follow is to grow
His strength enables walking into fears
To serve is to worship
His majesty is magnified as His name is displayed
To worship Him alone is to glorify Him
He is worthy of no other gods before me

Display our obedience

Exalting His name
Giving Him the fame

Depending on Him
Praying for everything

Singing His praises
For He ever amazes

Reading His Word
To be girded

Listening to His whisper
Teaching me to be a giver

Giving grace
As He builds my faith

My will over my emotion
To follow Him with devotion

To die to self
Bringing Spiritual health

Worshiping the Almighty
For it lifts me rightly

The women of God unsung
There is a focus to be gained
As each offer how He sustains

In their exposure
Losing composure
Offering brokenness
Courage standing in the doorway of openness

Honing our thoughts
Casting useless parts
The purifying process
Replacing false concepts

Grateful for fellowship
Building stewardship
Bringing to light
Their retained insight

Thankful to those women
On whose hearts He has written
Calling them to serve
As His Name is worshipped
